Get to Know Cassio Castro, DMD
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Cassio Castro has dedicated his life to providing extensive dental care to patients, helping them set goals and achieve the smile they have always wanted. He graduated from Annapolis Dental School and practiced as a general dentist in Brazil for two years. Dr. Castro eventually moved to the United States, where he attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2011 with a DMD Certification.
His professional and consistent demeanor with patients and faculty has helped Dr. Castro achieve accomplishments in the dental community. He was referred to the Medically Complex Honors Program and Clinical Honors Program and was picked as a Teaching Coordinator for the Pre-Clinical PASS Program in 2013.
Dr. Castro writes
“I chose to be a dentist because I saw the impact that I can have in a patient’s life either esthetically and/or functionally, providing them a better quality of life and self-confidence.”
When he’s not improving patients’ smiles, you can find him spending time in the mountains—either skiing in the winter or hiking in the summer with his Siberian Husky, Lua. Dr. Castro also enjoys cooking with friends and family and has been into CrossFit for the last decade.
